Law Enforcement Torch Ride (Eastern Ontario) - July 13 2013

To my fellow CMC members who are near Ottawa, I would like to throw out the invitation to join me at the Law Enforcement Torch Ride (Eastern Ontario - Ottawa) on July 13 2013 and "ride for a reason, ride for a purpose!". More information is available at http://www.torchrideontario.com.

I will be taking my "little red Rebel" out to participate in this as my very first ever charity ride (hey, I only got my M2 at the end of last summer!).

This charitable event supports the Special Olympics Ontario in their efforts to provide sports training and competition for people with an intellectual disability. Their primary objective is to enhance physical, social and psychological development through positive experiences in sport. A good friend of mine has a son with Autism, so this is a cause that is dear to my heart.

What a great day we had for the Law Enforcement Torch Ride today. Congratulations to the organizers for a job well done. Kudos in particular to those volunteers who organized and didn't even get to participate in the ride!

$5,576 was raised for the Special Olympics.
