Organ Donation

Elwood

Recommended Posts

My new driver's licence came in the mail just the other day. You know the one, with the ugly picture. (or is that just me?)

Anyway, I was about to throw out the donor form, like I always have, when it hits me... what am I going to do with these organs and tissue when, you know, I can't do anything with these organs and tissue?

Just asking you to think about it. They say less than 20 % of us do consent.

Thanks for reading.

So many people on waiting lists...I agree with Rob - lets at least think about it. Oh and by the way, it's about time you got your license, Elwood!

Thanks Rob for posting this.

My brother was a very fortunate recipient of a kidney on 2 different occasions which did certainly provide him with a opportunity to get off the 3 time a week dialysis ordeal. Many trips we made to London, Kitchener and Hanover to take him for the treatments which severely limited any sort of a chance of a normal lifestyle.

Unfortunately it usually takes a tragedy from one family to help out another, but I can tell you personally the gift of organ donation can mean so much to others.

Don't take your organs to heaven...heaven knows we need them here ;);););)
