Armand Francis Gevers

Armand was born on August 18th, 1967 at Women’s Hospital in Winnipeg Mb and passed away at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre on December 15th, 2021 with his wife Charlene by his side.

Armand was predeceased by parents Beatrice Hery and Gerald Gevers. He leaves behind brothers Vern, Greg (Nikki), Gerald (Joy) and Terry; sister Kim (Rheal); daughter Emily and step- daughter Alexis; along with aunts, uncles, many cousins, nephews and nieces.

At a very young age Armand like to be silly and make people laugh. This didn't change as he got older, his silly antics, jokes, whit and humor became his signature. We will all hold those memories near and dear to our hearts.

Armand grew up having a passion for playing sports, winning many awards. This passion continued on thru his adulthood by umpiring and refereeing.

He started army training when he was 17 years old. He loved being a part of the regiment and training drills, however due to a knee injury had to leave the army.

He was dedicated to his work and was very proud to have worked at Cadorath Aerospace for the last 26 years, until he was diagnosed with cancer. During his absence from work his fellow colleagues continued to support him by sending gift baskets filled with all kinds of treats. They even printed a very large banner wishing him well that was signed by everyone. These small gestures always lifted his spirits and made him feel good.

Armand had a big heart and was a sucker for animals, he leaves behind his babies Dukie, Daisy and Mouse.

Reading, watching TV, movies, documentaries and tutorials on how to do stuff were all staples of the wealth of knowledge he held.

In the spring of 2015 Armand and Charlene met and became inseparable and got married in October 2021. Together they supported one another through all of life's adventures and hardships. They shared their love of motorcycle riding, taking every opportunity to hit the open road. One of their most memorable trips was to Sturgis for his 50th  birthday.

He was loving and caring and always very modest. He gave and never expected anything in return. He was taken far too early, and deserved so much more.

Rest in peace, until we meet again.
