I am sure many of you have seen the ad on Facebook "Ride the Highlands" I did the "Highland Loop" ride 1600 KM, but the actual ride is apparently around 1000 KM. Depends where you are coming from. About the ride, majority of the roads are well paved, some are narrow with very little shoulder. Bend after bend with an abundance of lakes to stop and take in the views. It would be a great ride for the Autumn season, I sped through most of it, that's what happens when you ride alone. Might be a good idea to reserve your motel, I winged it and it was tough getting accommodations. Going in August definitely makes it hard to get a room.
