The cruise will begin in Victoria at Clover Point and proceed to Duncan, ending up at the Cowichan Sportsplex with a show and shine. Admission will be available for anyone that wants to view the wheels on show, as well as enjoy the benefit concert by the Jason Buie Band and Dyspell. How can you go wrong with Ed Bain from the Q as emcee, hot rods and the blues!
From everyday vehicles, to exotic cars, to choppers and hogs; participants are taking to the street in support of the BCSPCA’s mission to develop more humane communities. The drive will demonstrate people wanting to see local laws changing to more humane animal management regulations. With the recent announcement by the provincial government looking to regulate commercial breeders, at a more local level we need to make sure animals are not suffering in our backyards.
In addition this event will raise funds to support the enforcement by the BCSPCA special provincial constables, of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, humane education, outreach programs, and help offset costs for the care of the animals in our shelters.
