This past weekend we held a ride amongst our own members in aid of a local cat rescue who had approached us asking for help. We already have a charity but when we saw how desperate they were for help we couldn't say no. We charged $10 per rider and $10 per passenger, just had a lovely 3 hour ride and finished up with a bbq. We raised $620 for this rescue and you'd have thought we'd given them a million dollars they were so thankful. Can each chapter also adopt a pet rescue in their area (not spca) who usually gets lots of funding and do something similar?
