Administrators Irma Posted July 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 16, 2020 Sadly we retire #16089 for Pat Fazio. Our deepest condolences to Pat's family and friends https://smithfuneralhome.ca/memorial/pat-pasquale-fazio-0 Pat (Pasquale) Fazio passed away after a valiant 51 day battle with Acute Leukemia on July 11, 2020. Pat was a tough little Italian but Leukemia was a formidable foe. Pat was born in Alvito, Italy on October 23, 1945 to Pietro and Serafina Fazio. He is survived by his children Mariena (Derek) Johnson, Janet (Ruth) Fazio and son Peter. Loving Papa to Nichole Hawkins, Jessica, Travis, Ava and Noah Fazio and Great Granddaughter Ellie. His step son Jonathon is his biggest fan and buddy. Also survived by Brother Tony Fazio and Sister Anna Ferrera of Sarnia and Sister Gina Martini (Noele) of France. His oldest brother Mario of Italy predeceased him. Pat has left behind to mourn the love of his life and rock, Norma Lynn Downie. Pat and Norma Lynn are both proud Canadians and wished to attest their love for one another by marrying on July 1st. Sadly that wasn’t possible. Pat came to Canada in 1963 at the age of 17 with $27 in his pocket and not speaking a word of English. He began his trade of building quality homes and went on to develop and build complete subdivisions. His company Marjan Homes Inc. was the builder of the Bluewater Health Foundation Dream Home in 2012. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Sarnia Lambton Home Builders Association in 2018. He held every role of office in the SLHBA. Pat had a reputation of never asking the price and always paying his bills. Pat was passionate about the Toronto Maple Leafs and was sure that this was the year he would see them win the Stanley Cup again. He also loved golf and his Harley Davidson. He was a member of Chapter 016 of the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers. Pat became a world traveler with Norma Lynn. They also crossed Canada in their motorhome and golfed in every province except Newfoundland in just 9 months last year. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Pat’s memory to the St Vincent De Paul or Canadian Blood Services or the charity of one’s choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
