Obituary of France Bernier

BERNIER 1950 - 2018 in Toronto.

France (Séguin) Bernier passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 1st 2018 at the age of 67.

France was born on July 18 1950 in Princeville, Québec to Lucien et Marie-Ange (Laflamme) Séguin, and married Jacques Bernier on December 26 1970. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and friends, her love of fast cars and motorcycles, her amazing cakes and cookies, her love of theater, travel, books, clothes, jewellery and good food. France also found enormous satisfaction through her many years of service at Pitney Bowes and her contribution to her church choir. She was a charismatic woman of incredible patience, unwavering kindness, and a unique sense of flair. She lives on through the knowledge and skills she passed on to all those she taught and worked with. She leaves an unmistakable void in our lives that she once filled with her love and energy.

Holding her in loving memory are her husband of 47 years, Jacques, her children, Jennifer (Dean), Carolynn (Michael), Marc (Valerie) and Danièle, her eleven grandchildren, Steven, Alexander and Emmanuela, Billie and Vaughn, Nathan, Owen, Spencer and Cody, Felix and Sebastien, her mother Marie-Ange Séguin, and her sisters, Lise (Bapoo), Ginette (Marvin) and Danièle (Denis). She will also be remembered by her in-laws, Huguette (Robert), Roger (Hélène) and Guylaine (Pierre), her brother-in-law Denis and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be sorely missed by her dear friend Jackie and her many colleagues. She is preceded in death by her father Lucien, her sister-in-law Francine and her nephew François.

Grandma Race Car will be in our hearts forever.  May you rest in peace. We love you.
