Hello, 016 Chapter Members, I know we don't have a ride booked for this Wednesday, July 14th. evening but when I look at the weather it looks too nice not to ride! Wednesday's weather shows 26c and 24% chance of rain so it looks like a perfect evening for us to ride! Can I suggest meeting at Tim Horton's on London Line at 6:15 with KSU at 6:45? We can either ride to the Ipperwash Beach House or to Grand Bend for Ice Cream. You can decide, I will lead! Ok, next week's ride to the Cool Cumber, Strathroy which also has Ice cream but does that matter! Absolutely not! For members that have not been out, come on out it can't be anything but a good time! You never know you might be the winner of the 50/50 draw! For our members in Forest, Thedford and Grand Bend, if you can join us let me know and I will make sure we come to you so you can join in! It would be great to see you, it has been way too long!! Hope to see you out, Paul

Destination location - Dresden - Tim Horton's Road Captain Paul Williamson with a Road Captain that attends as Tailgunner. No Rain Date! Hope to see you out! Health and Saftey Measures: 1) Members not feeling well should NOT attend. 2) All members arriving for the ride or at a destination stop will set their bikes up to promote Physical Distancing. 6 Feet/2 Metres apart from one another = 1 Bike length apart! 3) We will avoid any greetings like handshakes, high fives, fist bumps and or hugs. 4) When at the destination, we will ensure Physical Distancing is put in place. 5) If you are in the store getting a refreshment you will wear a facemask that covers your nose and mouth. 6) If you are uncomfortable when outside congregating with others and they are not wearing a mask, you're encouraged for your comfort to wear your mask. 7) We will keep a detailed list of attendees. (Log Book) For health investigation in case of exposure. Remember if the Wednesday evening ride is cancelled due to weather the ride will take place on Thursday evening, same time same place. 15. So sorry to hear this sad news, Condolences to all Linda's family and friends
  16. My most sincere condolences. So very sad.
  17. Sadly we retire #29061 for Linda Lavigne-Clarke who left us on June 3, 2021. Our deepest condolences to her husband John, her children, family and friends. Our deepest sympathies to you all In Loving Memory It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Linda Lavigne-Clarke on June 3, 2021 following injuries suffered doing what she loved, riding her motorcycle. With her adoring husband at her bedside, Linda left this Earth peacefully to ride again in the sky. Linda was an incredibly loving wife to her husband John (Clarke) and a proud and wonderful mother to her children Victoria Stratton, Robert Stratton and Jessica Clarke. Everything she did was in the name of love for her husband and children; life will never be the same without her. Her laugh, her smile, the sparkle in her eye and her insatiable desire for hugs will never be forgotten. Linda is survived by her mother Juliette, her guiding light; her loving brother Robert (Jennifer) and her three nephews of whom she was so proud, Eric, Marc (Melina) and Adam (Shelby) as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Linda loved to ride and we can all be sure that she will continue riding in heaven as guardian angel for her beloved Litas, CMC 029 and Ottawa Misfits. The family wishes to extend its most sincere thanks to her motorcycle family and dear friends for all they have done to support John and the children through such a difficult time. Your genuine love for her shines through with the brightest of lights. Due to Covid restrictions, the visitation at Kelly Funeral Home on Walkley, as well as interment at Hope Cemetery, will be by invitation only on June 11, 2021 from 10:30 am – 2:00 p.m. Linda’s husband and children will host a Celebration of Life later in the year as restrictions lift – details to follow. The family asks that the motorcycle community please join us, parking is available at Jim Durrell arena, for the procession from the funeral home to the cemetery at 2:30 pm. Please arrive by 2:00 pm for safety instructions and organization. This will be Linda’s last ride as Road Captain, followed by her husband, The Litas, CMC, Ottawa Misfits and riders who knew and loved her. Charity rides were very dear to Linda’s heart and, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cruise Don’t Bruise, a charity motorcycle ride hosted by the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre. 100% of all donations are used to support and raise awareness for victims of domestic violence: women, children and the elderly.
  18. Good Day 016 Chapter Members, From Premier Doug Ford's announcement on May 22, 2021, a three-step road map to reopen Ontario is in place. Wonderful News!! The Road Captain Team has discussed and agreed that commencing with Chapter rides is attainable with health and safety measures put in place. We know how important it is for all of us to consider risk-mitigating measures that focus on feeling safe and staying healthy. Stressed out? Maybe a ride will help! Wednesday, June 2, 2021, looks like riding weather so our Chapter rides will commence then and as we move forward noted on the National Forum under the Calendar Events! For the June 2nd ride, we will meet at the Tim Horton's on London Line across from Hiawatha at 6:30 with KSU at 7:00. I will be the Road Captain and Pam Scott will be our Tailgunner! We thought the destination for a first ride would be the long way to Tim Horton's, Corunna. We'd head out of Sarnia to Watford, down 79 to the Petrolia town line, through Petrolia then to end the ride with a refreshment at the Tim Horton's, Corunna. Please make sure to read 2021, 016 Chapter Group Riding and Hand Signal Guidelines that were sent out to you a while back. If both nights are cancelled then we would move on to the next scheduled Wednesday ride. Hope to see you out!
