Important Rally Details

Well it is just two weeks to go before we get to meet all of you and have some fun.

There is a lot of information here so please read carefully.

I wanted to finally get out all the information as it stands right now, giving you all the best possible details of what the weekend will have to offer.

Friday July 28th, Arrival Day. Come into the grounds and park your ride for now, come up to the registration table to sign in and sign up to get all the information and participate in events. Meet your hosts, and find out where you will be camping (one of two large fields). Then park and get settled in for the fun. There will be door prizes, 50/50 Draw, Card tables, and just mingling around getting to say Hi to new faces.:-D

There will be t-shirts and any extra Patches for sale at a table near the main hall, Say Hi to Al & Diane, & keep an eye out for Borg, he will also be selling the main Raffle tickets for the WestJet Package, along with Daily 50/50 draw tickets

The Concession will be open, Friday 12:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday 10:30am to 4:00pm Sunday 10:30am to 8:00pm and the Bar open 2:00pm to 12:00am Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are many great restuarants in the Qualicum/Parksville area to go enjoy if the concession doesn't cut the mustard.

Friday and Sunday a DJ will be on site to give the tunes to keep us going, and Saturday night we have the Renovation Blues Band Playing for us. 

Road Captain Meeting. Discussion of Main ride.Friday 8:00pm Grand Stand Bleachers next to main hall. Don't forget to sign up.

Saturday and Sunday Breakfast is provided starting at 7:00am to 10:00am. Sunday Breakfast is hosted by any Officer that wishes to help, a sign up sheet for volunteers will be on the main registration table.

Saturday July 29th, Breakfast, RC Meeting, Ride out West, Pig Roast Dinner & Dance, Main Raffle, Prizes, Daily 50/50 Draw,

The breakfasts & dinner will be served buffet style, come and grab a plate and get your fill. For dinner there will also be local salmon on the BBQ if you want to taste some real west coast fish. Caught by our own local member/officer, Blaine, also our entertainment committee member.  There will be two pigs going on the spits cooked and carved by Lickety Spit, with lots of fixings to fill you up. Tom & Maureen, myself and any volunteers will be serving up the grub to feed you all.

Saturday Rides- CMC Bug Run. This is a limited entry event, $5 buy in, we have only 50 stickers, you place anywhere on your ride or helmet, and try to earn some great prizes, sign up sheet and sticker purchase will be at the main registration table.Then moved to near the main hall until sold out.

We have asked for help in regards to Road Captains for the Ride out West. Here are the details:  approx 3 to 3.5hrs one way, First Group Departure 8:00am (size 10-12), then every 5-10minutes there after another group leaves. West on Highway 4 to first Stop - Gas Stop on the farside of Port Alberni,

Continue West on Hwy for to next Rest Stop for water and snack, this is near Kennedy Lake, It will be clearly marked with a member waiting there for you with water and snacks, Anne & Bob will be your gracious hosts. You will then carry on to the next stop which is the Visitors Center. From here you will be given the choice of direction, and going at it alone or staying in groups. Our Senior Road Captain, Threads-Robin will be riding up and down from Ucluelet to Tofino, trying to stop in and see everyone around. From this Junction you cannot get lost. Only one way there, one way back. From this Junction, Groups will reassemble if needed and head back to the Grounds via the same route. No later than 330pm departure if you want to make it in time for dinner.

There will be a sign up sheet on the registration table for all Road Captain's that are wishing to help out. There will be spots for RC's on the sheet, but it is not definite you will be leading that group. Needs of the ride.

Threads-Robin & Rob B. will be having a RC meeting to get all RC's information on the road, stops, and general information. This will be done the Friday evening, then a quick one before the first group departs, this will be at the Bleachers near the Hall 8:00pm. &  7:30am

Sign up for Ride out West at the main registration table we will have sheets with slots for members to sign up for departure time. These will be in blocks of 10 for group size & placement. Upon your arrival, please sign up for the time you wish to depart. Members will be asked to be ready 10 minutes prior to departure time. this allows the safe staging of the groups before exiting the grounds. Please be aware that the climate out on the West coast is cooler than surrounding communities, Layer Up, stay warm. Be prepared for wet inclimate weather.

Alternate Ride Saturday, if you have no wish to go to the West Coast then maybe an alternate ride is in order. We will have one local RC on stand-by for any members wishing to ride an alternate route. Destination - North :-D There will be a sign up sheet for this as well on the main registration table. This ride will depart at 9:00am. 

As for General Volunteers. We will have a sign up sheet for those that wish to help on the main registration table. There will not be a lot to do as we should be ready for you when you get here. But if help is needed anywhere we will call upon your services. Clean up - Security - First Aid - Etc Thank you in advance.

There will also be sign up sheets for First Aid Attendants, this way we know who we can call upon in case of emergency situations. We will have two designate First Aid Attendants on Duty through-out the weekend and possibly St. Johns to watch over us during the Biker Games. Contact any local member to help find F/A services when needed. We will have the main office as a rally point for safety.

Sunday July 30th, Officer hosted Breakfast, 7:00am to 10:00am then our ALL MEMBER PARADE 11:00am, myself and Robin will lead you all down through Qualicum and Parksville, showing our local communities our pride in the CMC!! Please be ready to go for 11am, staging will begin at 10:30am at the main gate. Please keep it orderly and obey all traffic laws. The parade will get seperated by traffic, next in line is the temporary RC, No lanes changes required, Right Turns Only (Left at round-about but exit out right :-D), Here is the map of the route.

After the Parade free time to relax for a bit, maybe go down and check out Coombs Market, then head on back for the Biker Games 1:00pm start up. There will be sign up sheets for the games on the main registration tables. Some great prizes to be won for having fun. Popeye - Brian will be leading us off in this endeavor of events.

Monday July 31st. Departure Day. Time to say our goodbyes, farewells, so longs, adios amigos, Till we meet again :-D

Please keep your area clean, and please respect our rally event grounds.Use ashtrays or butt cans provided. Fire Risk is at an Extreme Level. The Coombs Rodeo Grounds are here to help you all have the best time, please say thanks when you see the workers on the grounds.
